Bishops Lydeard SAC

Dolphins Ray & Skate Shield – Best specimen Skate or Ray from the BCFSA area, boat or shore, based against the BCFSA record list. Joe Latham – Small Eyed Ray – 11.09 – Minehead – Shore

HTV Trophy – awarded for the best nominated specimen taken by an affiliated club member during the BCFSA open contest. Gary Cornish – Cod – 52cms


Blackdown SAC

L.Bennett Trophy – Best specimen boat caught fish, excluding the BCFSA area based against the British record. Alan Shepherd – Pollack – 19.08 – Weymouth

Wilkinson Sword – Awarded posthumously to Alan Shepherd for his outstanding contributions to the sea angling community.


Combe Martin SAC

D.Metcalfe Shark Trophy – Best specimen member of the Shark family from the BCFSA area, based against the BCFSA record list. Craig McClaughin – Spurdog – 18.04 – Ilfracombe – Boat

Peter Smith Trophy – Best specimen Bass from the BCFSA area, boat or shore, based against the BCFSA record list. Liam Stevens – Bass – 15.08 – Ilfracombe – Shore

RAF Locking Trophy – Awarded to the individual who amasses the most points during the BCFSA charter boat contests. John Shapland

NS&C Tope Trophy (by formula) – Best specimen Tope from the BCFSA area, boat or shore, based against the BCFSA record list. Ross Stanway – Tope – 34.01 – Ilfracombe – Shore

Veals Bass Conservation Shield – Best specimen Bass from the BCFSA area, boat or shore, based against the BCFSA record list, returned alive. Derek Ferret – Bass – 13.03 – Ilfracombe – Shore


Reef Raiders SAC

BCFSA Shore Championship Trophy – Presented annually to the team with the most points totalled during the BCFSA shore contests. Reef Raiders SAC ‘A’ – 308cms

Senior / Junior Trophy – Awarded for the best nominated specie by a pair of anglers, one senior and one junior, during the BCFSA open contest. Erin Hayle & Martin Hayle – 110cms


Seaswest SAC

George Gale Trophy – Best specimen Flatfish from the BCFSA area, boat or shore, based against the BCFSA record list. Chris Buxton – Dab – 1.04 – Oxwich – Shore

Man of Steel Shield – Best specimen shore caught fish, excluding the BCFSA area based against the British record. Pete Critchell – Small Eyed Ray – 12.02 – South Devon


Severn Estuary Anglers SAC

Mustad Hook Trophy – Awarded for the best nominated specimen taken by a junior of an affiliated club during the BCFSA open contest. Jacob Searle 


Tenby & District SAC

Vincent Coules Trophy – The best specimen from the BCFSA area based against the BCFSA shore record list. Stuart Allen – Golden Mullet – 2.12 – Tenby


West Coast & Watchet SAC

Bridgwater Conger Shield – Best specimen Conger from the BCFSA area, boat or shore against the BCFSA record list. Phil Lovell – Conger – 28.04 – Minehead – Shore

Man of Steel Trophy – Awarded to the individual who amasses the most points during the BCFSA shore contests. Tyrone Jones – 180cms


Weston Outcasts SAC

Browning Trophy – Presented to the team with the highest measurement during a one off contest. Teams of up to ten, only one team per club. Weston Outcasts SAC – 599cms


Weston Super Mare SAA

Ivor Wilkins Memorial Trophy – Presented annually to the team with the most points totalled during the BCFSA charter boat contests. Weston Super Mare SAA ‘A’


Wests SAC

Isambard Trophy – Best specimen from the BCFSA area based against the BCFSA boat record list. George Stavrakopoulos – Grey Gurnard – 1.12 – Ilfracombe

It’s our Presentation Evening on Saturday 8th April 2017 at the Full Quart in Hewish, tickets are available now, priced at £10 for adults and £5 for juniors, this includes a meal from the hot buffet!

  1. Thanks for the update.I was involved with BCFSA many years back and being a life member Portishead Small boats quietly watching from the side lines
    I was even once a shared recipient of the Wilkinson sword as a member of Burnham Small Boats.
